Summer arrives in September

Well it rained most of the spring and summer months, and now we are having our summer, believe it or not we are in a mid September heat wave. The bees are bearding intensely as you can see in this photo. All our honey is off the hives now, and the girls are out taking advantage of the weather and storing as much honey as they can for the cold months ahead. They have no doubt stored between 60-100 lbs of honey into the combs this month alone.
